SportsTicketFinder.com – Georges St.Pierre easily defeated motor mouth Dan Hardy during this past UFC 111 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. However, the look says it all as St.Pierre visibly looked disappointed at the conclusion of this one sided fight.
Despite earning a clean sweep of Saturday night’s UFC 111 main event, St-Pierre knew he hadn’t yet turned in his best. He wanted to finish this fight early and not go the distance with Hardy and that nearly happened during the first round when he had Hardy in a nasty arm bar that appeared to end the fight but Hardy refused to tap and eventually slid away.
St-Pierre nearly ended it again but this time it was during the fourth round when he had Hardy in a kimura that pinned Hardy’s left arm behind in a impossible angle. But the stubborn Brit again refused to tap, even as he visibly winced to the pressure.
But at the end it was too much for Hardy as Georges St.Pierre won a unanimous decision and defended his UFC welterweight championship belt. St-Pierre (20-2 MMA, 14-2 UFC) now has seven-straight wins in the UFC against the best opponents in the world. Hardy (23-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC) loses for the first time in the octagon, but he looks to have a bright future at just 27 years old. Read More
